CONTROLLING YOUR OWN INSURANCE IS JUST SMART BUSINESS

Owner-Operator Services Inc., a division of OOIDA, is one of the most experienced truck insurance specialists in the country, offering the wide range of coverages and options that you need to properly insure your truck and your business.

OOSI’s licensed agents understand the trucking industry and the unique truck insurance needs of an owner-operator. With their straightforward, sound advice, they can give you the confidence you need to make the best choices when it comes to insuring your truck and your business.

MORE THAN AN INSURANCE COMPANY

OWNER-OPERATOR SERVICES INC. (OOSI) IS A DIVISION OF OOIDA

All profits from the activities and products of OOIDA’s subsidiary companies go straight back into the Association to continue the on-going efforts to protect truckers’ rights and improve working conditions within the trucking industry. If you currently have your truck insurance through a company other than OOIDA, chances are you’re doing business with a company that may be actually working against your interests.

DIRECT UNDERWRITING

QUICK SERVICE AND IMMEDIATE BINDING

OOSI is able to underwrite many of their own policies without any third-party hindrances or involvement. In most cases, binding decisions are made directly by OOSI. This guarantees you quick service and almost immediate binding. In addition, we can make filings electronically to the Federal Highway Administration to make sure your proof of insurance is on file as soon as the policy is bound.

LOW COST SOLUTIONS

CONVENIENT MONTHLY PAYMENT OPTIONS

Owner-Operator Services Inc. (OOSI) insurance products are priced at some of the most competitive rates available. We can set up easy monthly installments, without large down payments. With OOSI, there are no credit checks involved when securing your insurance as there are with many insurers. There are also no hidden renewal costs.

BEST SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY

EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER CARE

We understand the mobility of our clients, and are committed to providing the fastest, friendliest service in the industry. Whether you are calling from a truck dealership needing insurance immediately, or just calling to make changes on your policy, we are there ready to help you. Our in-house truck billing department can answer any questions regarding your statements as well as issue, fax and mail certificates of insurance when you need them.

As part of its stated mission, OOIDA will keep developing quality products to enhance the businesses and lives of professional truckers, making them available at fair and affordable prices.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is insured under a commercial truck insurance policy?

The people covered under a commercial truck insurance policy can vary and are specified in the policy. Any employees that drive your trucks (in addition to yourself) are known as “permissive users” and must be listed on your policy.

Does truck insurance cover personal use?

It depends. Coverage for the “personal use” of a commercial truck depends on whether the driver is operating under their own authority or leased to a motor carrier. If they’re operating under their own authority, they’re covered for all personal use under their policy. If they’re leased to a motor carrier, they’re usually covered for business use only, but they could get Non-Trucking Liability insurance to cover their personal use.

How can I get the lowest rates possible?

Be honest with your agent about your operation and your records – including work history and your MVR. By doing your due diligence in operating your business in a professional manner and remaining loss free, you should receive better rates. Make sure when you are looking at premiums you are also comparing coverage. Not all policies are just alike. Another important aspect is what type of service you will receive. If you insure for lower rates, but that company can’t provide good timely service, the lower premiums will not help you out at all when you can’t get loaded due to problems with your insurance.
